Levra.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

The short version: we collect as little as we can: your email if you make an account, which stories you open (so we can count your free reads), and your settings. We never sell or share your information for advertising, and you can download or delete everything yourself in Settings at any time.

Who we are

Levra ("we", "us") is a news service at levra.news. Questions about this policy or your information go to hello@levra.news.

Storage on your device

Levra stores a few things in your browser so it works: your sign-in, your settings, your reading count and your privacy choices. These are strictly necessary and need no consent. We currently use no advertising or analytics cookies. If we add them, we'll ask first where the law requires it (for example in Europe), and you can change your choice anytime in Settings > Privacy choices. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

Who helps us

A small number of service providers process information only to provide their service to us:

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where European law requires it, transfers rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't give it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

The legal bases we rely on in Europe: providing the service you asked for (your account, reading counts, settings), your consent (marketing emails, optional cookies, the waitlist), and our legitimate interest in keeping Levra secure and measuring overall use.

Age

Levra is for people aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please don't create an account. If someone under 16 signs up, their account is deleted straight away. If you believe a young person has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Your information is stored with access rules that let each reader see only their own data, connections are encrypted, and sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll let account holders know by email or in the app before they take effect.
